Leeroy Chapman (B. 1997 Newcastle, Australia) graduated Bachelor in Fine Arts at University of Newcastle in 2018. Working in the traditional medium of sculpture - steel and clay, bronze and aluminium casting, Chapman has exhibited at The Lock Up, Newcastle, Watt Space, Newcastle, Maitland Regional Gallery, NAS Gallery Sydney and the Royal Art Society New South Wales where Chapman received the Young Artist Prize. Chapman was a finalist for the Kilgour Art Prize at Newcastle Art Gallery in 2019.
Residencies and Scholarships include Outer Space, Brisbane, London Fine Art Studios, London, United Kingdom and Institute of European Design, Rome, Italy. In 2019 Chapman was the recipient for the Brenda Clouten Memorial Art Scholarship, Maitland Regional Gallery and the Tom Bass Sculpture Studio, Sydney. Private collections in Australia and UK.
